When: Being collected from April 17th (Palm Sunday) through May 1st.
Mission Commission is collecting hygiene kits for Church World Service and our ecumenical partners for Japan disaster relief. Barbara Dodenhoff is coordinating collections of the kits.
To donate a "kit" you simply provide the following items packed into a 1-Gallon Zip-Lock Bag:
1 Hand Towel (approximately 16"x28", no fingertip or bath towels)
1 Washcloth
1 Wide tooth comb (removed from the package)
1 Nail Clipper (without metal files or emery boards, packaging removed)
1 Bar of soap, bath-sized in wrapper
1 Toothbrush in original packaging (NO TOOTHPASTE)
6 Band-Aids or other adhesive bandage strips
Look for announcements in the church, the website, and the bulletin inserts for collection points for the kits.
